Dr. Suzin Um

"I am a third generation dentist following in the footsteps of my grandfather, mother, uncle, and cousins. Being an oral and maxillofacial surgeon has been a wonderful journey. I have the privilege to work with amazing patients and rehabilitate their smiles. Surgeries have become more efficient and comfortable with new technology like cone beams, scanners, and surgical guides.

My interest is to create the best result by utilizing the latest technology. Your comfort is important to us. We do our very best to make sure to help you have the best experience possible."

Dr. Suzin Um is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is a Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Um is a third-generation dentist in her family.

She attended Smith College in Massachusetts where she was elected as a Fellow of the Sigma Xi Society. She also received the Mellon Mays Fellowship for research in bacteriology.

Dr. Um received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. During dental school, she became fascinated with oral and maxillofacial surgery and decided to pursue her training to become a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

She completed her postgraduate residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she received intensive training in the areas of maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, head and neck pathology, anesthesia (sedation), dentoalveolar and implant surgery. During her residency, Dr. Um served as a chief resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Jersey City Medical Center, and Montefiore Hospital.

After completing her residency, Dr. Um was in private practice in San Francisco. She was part of California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and was a faculty at the University of Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Dr. Um believes that patient safety comes first. She believes in treating patients like her own family. Dr. Um enjoys practicing with the latest technology to achieve the best results for her patients. She believes in individualized care that is tailored to each patient.

Surgical Assistant

Cindy was born and raised in California. She loves hiking during her free time and enjoys oral surgery because she loves helping people. 


Patient Coordinator

Dorie's interest in the dental field began when she was in high school and has been working in the field ever since. She is kind, patient and bubbly and loves helping out patients. Dorie loves the beach, going to amusement parks and spending time with her family.



Sedation Assistant

Wioletta is a dental sedation assistant certified by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and brings over 12 years of experience to our practice. She completed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination and is further certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Wioletta is from Chicago and is fluent in Polish.


Certified Sedation Assistant

Kellie is a certified sedation assistant by the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Before she became a oral surgery assistant, Kellie was a pediatric dental assistant. She loves working with children. Kellie is a California native and she enjoys hiking.
